FORMULACION DE NANOCOMPUESTOS POLIMERICOS CON NANOPARTICULAS CERAMICAS A BASE DE PLA CON PROPIEDADES DE REMOCION DE COLORANTES ORGANICOS.
The present invention discloses a formulation of PLA-based polymeric nanocomposites with chemically modified ceramic nanoparticles (TiO2/ZnO). The nanocomposite manufacturing process is environmentally friendly since it does not use organic solvents, it is simple to implement on a pilot scale, the temperature is less than 200°C, avoids generating byproducts, and provides good dispersion and incorporation of the nanoparticles to the polymer matrix. PLA nanocomposites with TiO2/ZnO nanoparticles present adsorption properties for dyes, such as methylene blue and rhodamine B, with removal percentages above 98% in a short 13 min, allowing reusing the material for up to three dye adsorption cycles.
