The present disclosure is directed to the creation and use of stem cell-differentiated, genetically engineered fat cells in implantable biodelivery products for safe, minimally invasive, and efficacious delivery for patients in a variety of treatment contexts. In some embodiments, the engineered fat cells may be encapsulated within degradable polymer spheres for safe and efficacious transfer of fat. These constructs can be implanted at the desired site, for therapeutic or cosmetic purposes, and slow degradation of the gel will yield improved viability and grafting of the cells.
