THERMOPLASTIC CELLULOSE ACETATE COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PREPARATION
The invention discloses a method for the production of a thermoplastic cellulose acetate composition containing inorganic fillers, wherein the method includes: fractionation of the cellulose acetate; synthesis of inorganic filler particles from silica gel, which is a waste product of aluminum fluoride production, or from opoka rock; mixing cellulose acetate granules with inorganic filler particles and plastic; extrusion and granulation. The steps of the method allow the production of thermoplastic polymer compositions with better melt flow properties, facilitating the further processing of compositions from bio-raw materials. The steps of the method make it possible to reduce the energy requirement for the extrusion process, reduce the stiffness of the extruded cellulose acetate compositions, and use sustainable, easily available natural and waste materials.
