Vigilancia Tecnológica

The present invention relates to a method for evaluating the biodegradability, ecotoxicity, and disintegration of compostable polymer using beetle larvae, aiming at facilitating whether a plastic product can be certified, considering the results obtained produced by the digestive activity of beetle larvae of the species Tenebrio Molitor and Zoophobes morio. Said method does not require sophisticated equipment or highly qualified personnel and can be carried out anywhere in the Mexican Republic or abroad, respecting the conditions described in the methodology.
