The Croatian firm is a subsidiary of Cortec (Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA;  www.cortecvci.com), a manufacturer of vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) solutions, which it markets under VpCI, used in the production of environmentally safe film for corrosion protection.
EcoCortec said the new compounding lines at its polymer processing plant can produce various concentrated masterbatch products. It is also able to integrate its parentâ??s VpCI technology into biodegradable packaging at the site.

The company added that the new facility implements â??a high-level circular economy modelâ?. One of its sustainability initiatives is that customers can send in waste VpCI material, which EcoCortec then both recycles in-house and reuses in the production of new film. The company said it aims to use 30% recycled content in its plastic packaging by 2030.10.06.2024 Plasteurope.com [255491-0]
